The second annual Mern Coveny Memorial Tournament is set to take place on Saturday, May 27th at Canlan Sports Arena in Oakville. This year's event will be even bigger and better than last year's!
This year, we have a new charity to direct our fundraising efforts - KidSport Canada. KidSport supports children who need financial assistance with sports registration fees and equipment costs.
We also plan to have a 40-plus and an under-40 group for each division if registration allows.
The tournament will have prizes, a silent auction, and a 50/50 draw and there is a good chance the Canlan restaurant will be open this year...yay!
We are excited to come together for a good cause and to remember our dear friend Mern, the pioneer of women's hockey.
